The Greensboro kitchen project was a full kitchen renovation with the main design objective being to increase the functionality of the space.
Before:
Above: Notice the awkward positioning of the fridge. The original kitchen lacked in efficient counter space for a client who loves to cook!
After:
Above: In the new design, the fridge was moved to allow for adequate “landing space” on either side of the range. The range is centred on this wall with a gorgeous stainless hood. I created a return in the peninsula that now houses a microwave and a wine fridge. * We are waiting on once piece of moulding to finish off the wall cabinets.
Before:
Above: This raised bar configuration was useless and cut down on functional surface area and became a place for “junk” to land.
After:
Above: The raised bar is removed with one plane of countertops. We used 2-1/4″ thick Misty Carara Caesarstone.
Before:
Above: The existing pantries were too shallow
After:
Above: I beefed up the depth of these pantries for better storage and all the cabinets in this new kitchen stretch all the way up to the ceiling with a transitional crown moulding.
Before:
After:
Above: New pendants and a polished Calcutta briquette back splash are the jewellery to this brand new kitchen!
MORE After:
Above: Notice the pot filler. It’s one of my clients favorite features in her new kitchen!
Above: Built in wine fridge in the new peninsula return.
Above: A microwave! It is now built into the peninsula area with a deep drawer below.
